How to Lead a Technical Revolution: A Case Study with the University of Delaware
In fall 2010, i>clicker was chosen as the campus standard for personal response systems. i>clicker is a classroom polling tool that offers intuitive software, a polling overlay for any application, registration integrated with Sakai, on-the-fly polling, anonymous participation option, and support of web-enabled devices.
A community project has been created where educators can share ideas and knowledge about clicker usage. To acquire access to the Clickers@UD project, please contact Academic Technology Services.
Join i>clicker and the University of Delaware to hear unique faculty stories from disciplines that haven't typically used clickers, such as the Arts, and review the related data that shows increased student learning and engagement as a direct result of the i>clicker implementation. During the session, we will discuss: encouraging faculty to act as advocates for technology adoptions, decreasing student costs by through campus-wide standardization, promoting faculty to thoughtfully implement technology with best practice samples, leveraging the same technologies in large lecture halls and small discussion-based classes. Sponsored by: i>clicker and Campus Technology.
