Zoom implemented their new Software Lifecycle Policy on November 5, 2022 and will be enforcing their minimum required versions on a quarterly basis going forward.
This requirement is in line with industry practices for cloud-based services and is designed to help ensure that Zoom users receive the latest Zoom features, as well as any privacy and security enhancements made to the platform.
If you have not updated your Zoom software, you will either be logged out of your Zoom Client or be unable to join meetings until you update.

Let Zoom update for you—turn on automatic updates
Zoom’s new automatic update feature streamlines the software update process for you. Instead of downloading and installing all the new features and fixes that Zoom releases, all you have to do is turn on automatic updates in the Zoom software application.
If you choose not to turn on automatic updates, UDIT recommends you regularly download and update to the latest version of the Zoom software by checking for updates in the Zoom Client or at UDeploy.
