Tech Talk Tuesdays: Innovative Learning Spaces: Pearson Hall’s Creative Tech Studios

Come join us for a session with ATS’s Video and Conferencing Manager, Stacy Weile, and Associate Director, Frank Eastman, as they give a tour of the facilities and discusses the capabilities of the Pearson Hall learning classrooms and the newly created green screen/lightboard recording space in 115 Pearson Hall. This session will provide an exciting opportunity to enrich your students’ experience through access to these creative on-campus spaces.

Stacy earned a BA in Communications from the University of Maryland in 1994, and an Ed.M in Education from the University of Illinois in 2000. Previous to working at UD, she served as a video technician at Montgomery Community Television in Rockville, MD; as a video editor at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, MD; and as a video producer for the Engineering distance learning program at the University of Illinois. Since joining the UD team in 2000, Stacy has worked as a video technician/producer for both the College of Health Sciences and Central IT. She manages multiple video studios on campus, where she records courses and other programs for distance learning and online distribution. She is also currently serving as the UD Zoom manager.

Frank Eastman is the Associate Director of Academic Technology Services. He received his BA in Computer and Information Sciences, and MBA from the University of Delaware. Prior to working for ATS, Frank worked with University Media Services and installed and maintained audio-visual equipment and control systems in teaching and learning spaces. As part of ATS, Frank has helped faculty with the use of technology to support student learning focusing on an enterprise-wide classroom lecture capture system.
