The virtual background feature allows you to display an image or video as your background during a Zoom Meeting. This feature works best with a plain color background (a green screen is preferred) and uniform lighting, to allow Zoom to detect the difference between you and your background. If you have a sufficiently new computer and at least version 5.2 of the Zoom software, a green screen is not required.
There are built-in Zoom and UD images already available in your account. You can also upload your own images or videos as a virtual background. UD OCM has provided UD-branded backgrounds for you to use. See the “Zoom” section.
Setting a Virtual Background in Zoom
The feature should already be turned on in your Zoom account. To add a background while in a meeting, click the arrow to the right of your camera icon in the toolbar and choose “Virtual Background”. Click on the desired image to see a preview. You can add images using the + symbol and browsing to the file on your computer.
For more detailed information, follow the steps outlined on the Using Virtual Background page from Zoom.
