Video Studio B – 305 Pearson Hall
Studio B is a multipurpose lecture facility equipped with 48 individual computer stations, and the front row is handicapped accessible. The studio is also equipped with two forward facing cameras and one student camera.
The instructor console features a motorized height-adjustable instructor lectern that raises to 45 inches and lowers to 34 inches. The console is equipped with a Windows 11 desktop computer with a hardwired internet connection. Instructors can also elect to bring in their own Windows or Macintosh laptop, or use the installed document camera for capturing spontaneous handwritten notes. Images from these devices will be projected on the large screen at the front of the room.
The student area features 48 Dell Optiplex 790 desktop computers with Internet access on eight rows of tiered tables. The students and instructor sign into the installed machines with their UD credentials to access their files and appropriate programs. If requested, students and participants can be on camera, and their questions can be recorded through the installed ceiling microphones.
Studio B is available for use as a live video conference facility to connect with students or guest speakers using Zoom desktop conferencing capabilities.
