Zoom Meeting IconZoom at UD is a centrally supported, easy-to-use desktop and mobile video conferencing platform. It works with both MacOS and Windows machines, and has free apps for Apple and Android devices. View our Getting Started Guides below for faculty, staff, and students.

To create or sign in to your Zoom at UD account, click the Sign in button on the portal and log in to SSO with your UD email and password.

End of Support for Windows 7 and 8

Zoom software version 6.0 Windows requirements

With the release of 6.0, Windows users will need to be on Windows 10 or higher. Devices still using Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 will no longer be supported and will have 5.17.10 (or any additional patches in the 5.17.X branch) as the last version available.

Zoom 6.0 Software Updates

Updated UI, custom toolbar, new features

Zoom 6.0 features an updated UI with a new look to the meeting window, the ability to customize the toolbar, new color scheme and icons, and several meeting enhancements including multi-speaker meeting layout, multi-sharing items with participants, enhanced video and sound, and more dynamic backgrounds, emojis, and wallpapers.

All UD Zoom Pro licenses are now HIPAA compliant

UD Zoom HIPAA group now has more features and no longer requires a separate login

All accounts must join the UD Domain

All @udel.edu Zoom accounts must be added to the UD domain or change to a different email address

In an effort to tighten security for our enterprise Zoom account, starting December 1, 2023, users not already part of the UD Domain will be prompted by Zoom to connect their personal Zoom account to UD’s licensed account at login. The associated email may be changed to a non-UD address. Click the button below for additional instructions and information.

Changes to Zoom licensing

All faculty/staff and active students will retain their Zoom Pro licensed account while affiliated with UD. However, due to a recent Zoom licensing change, all other user accounts were changed to Zoom Basic on February 28, 2022

New Software Download for Chromebooks

Beginning on November 5, 2022 Zoom will be ending support for the ChromeOS.  All Chromebook users are required to migrate to Zoom’s Progressive Web Application (PWA).  Please click the button below for instructions and a link to download the PWA.
