How does UD Capture classroom capture work?
UD Capture classroom capture is a free service that records your instruction in real time in an on-campus classroom session. You can record your own lectures, guest speakers, review sessions, student presentations, and other learning activities in the classroom.
Simply conduct your class as usual – everything is auto-recorded at a set time based on your class schedule.
UD Capture Classic only records what is projected from your laptop or document camera and the sound from the classroom. There is no camera that records images of people. You can still use Zoom on your own laptop.
UD Capture +Zoom records the classroom camera, sound from the classroom, and content shared from your laptop.

How do instructors and students access the recordings?
When class is over, the recording is automatically added to the instructor’s My Media. The instructor can then share the recording with students using Canvas by publishing to the course’s Media Gallery or by embedding media directly into a module or page. You can also request your recordings to be automatically published to the Media Gallery for students by checking the box on the request form.
Classroom capture recordings enable your students to revisit lectures, review course materials on their own schedule, and catch up on missed classes due to excused absences. Students can access the recordings within 24 hours.
Is UD Capture classroom capture available in any campus classroom?
UD Capture classroom capture is only available in central classrooms and designated campus spaces with the necessary recording equipment.
There are two kinds of UD Capture classroom capture: UD Capture Classic and UD Capture +Zoom.
